

Applied Behavior Analysis
Scarab Behavioral Health Services Applied Behavior Analysis Program offers support to families including:
- In-home intensive behavioral supports for children and youth with a Developmental disability and/or acquired neurologic disability and co-existing mental health issues.
- School-based consulting for students with challenging behaviors as a result of neurologic disability, such as, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.
- Training for school-based personnel regarding behavioral assessment, supports and interventions for students with challenging behaviors as a result of neurologic disability, such as, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.
Referral Criteria include
- The child has a diagnosis of a Developmental Disability, such as, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, or an acquired disability, such as Traumatic Brain Injury.
- The child has co-existing mental health and behavioral issues, such as, aggression, depression, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, etc.
- The child’s behavioral, psycho-social, educational and social challenges cannot be effectively managed in the outpatient setting.
- The child can be expected to improve with medically necessary and appropriate therapy (based on knowledge of appropriate interventions for both the Developmental Disability and the mental health challenges).
